GRACE KIDZ MINISTRIES

Nursery- Crib to Crawlers to Toddlers

Our nursery program is designed for Children ages 3 Months thru 2 Years of Age. Your child will be taken care of by one of our highly qualified volunteers of nursery staff, typically a grandmother with many years of experience, who better for the job. You can be rest assured that your child will be safe and sound throughout the duration of the service. Should a need arise that requires your attention, one of our staff will contact you immediately. It is the goal of our nursery program to allow parents to receive the spiritual food they need on Sunday Mornings without having to worry about their young children.

Children's Ministries

CHILDREN'S CHURCH  is an alternative for your kids ages 3(potty-trained)-12 years. Approximately 20 minutes into the Worship service the children are released to a  Childrens Worship service more geared to their mind set. During this time they will enjoy a structured program designed to give them a basis in Bible knowledge. They will learn things such as the Lord's Prayer, the books of the Bible, important yet easy to learn Bible Verses and stories that will help shape the direction of their lives for years to come. All of this is accomplished through games, songs, playtime and prayer that is capable of retaining their attention.

Awana Logo AWANA YOUTH CLUB runs from the second week of September through the third week of April. AWANA is on Sunday Evenings at 5:30-7:15. No registration fee, .50cents in dues per week per child.

The program is divided into three groups:

CUBBIES (age 3 & 4  years old)- AWANA Cubbies is a two-year weekly club program forpreschoolers inthe two years prior to kindergarten. Our purpose is to help a child take their first little steps on a lifelong spiritual journey. In the Bible, parents are instructed to teach their children about God's ways- in routine activities- passing along their faith, little by little, day by day. The Cubbies program is designed to help parents in this critical role. The teaching begins at home. Each week, we encourage the parents to help their Cubbie complete the scheduled Bear Hug. This entails a story and a Bible verse to learn for the upcoming week. Each aspect of the Bear Hug reinforces the same Bible truth. At club, we center everything we do on the same truth that they have worked on at home. Our story, games, activites, even our snack will reinforce the teaching the children have received that week.

SPARKS (K-2nd Grades)- AWANA Sparks is a three year program. Here we build on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeped into God's Word whild giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After beign immersed in solid foundational teaching at ther preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks. Sparks meetings combine learning with a fun to create atmospher of irresistible excitement for church and unchurched kids alike. Club meetings are divided into three segments: Bible teaching, age appropriate games on the Awana circle, and handbook time.

TRUTH AND TRAINING   (3rd through 6th Grades)- Truth and Training teaches older children the Truth of God's Word while Training them to follow Christ in their daily lives. T&T trains leaders of tomorrow today witha variety of dynamic tools to get kids excited about God's Word: four handbooks of increasing difficulty to teach children that life's ultimate adventure is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; a cast of fun characters for boys and girls to learn from and follow through interesting journeys in the handbooks; weekly meetings to expose children to the gospel message, Scripture memory, Bible study, awards, and team-oriented games with gut-bursting fun; a Bible-centered curriculum to help kids build a firm foundation for their faith, hide God's Word in their heart, and apply the truths of Scripture to their daily lives. In T&T, evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand.

Teens

Teen Ministry is the launching pad to life! The desire of Grace Community Church East Valley is to equip our teenagers for a life that honors God. Our teens have their own Teen Center located right on the campus of Grace Community called "The Warehouse". It is a teen friendly place to hang out and find friends as well as serves as the teen's home base. A air hockey table, foosball table, Wii console and state of the art sound system make it a place your teen won't want to leave. Our group is more than just teaching and having fun but it is also about helping teens come to grips with their faith and making it their own as they head out independently. We value our teens and consider reaching their generation a priority for the future of Grace Community. The teens meet together on Sunday mornings at 9:20 in "The Warehouse" on campus as well as Sunday Evenings from 5:30-7:15pm (Septmember through April). We have many activities planned throughout the year as well.
